Opening Week Schedule • September 2024
Tuesday, September 3
Faculty report to Campus

Wednesday, September 4
Please read opening week information carefully as each grade will report to campus at different times

8:30 - 10:30 Senior Orientation; report to homeroom
9:30 - 11:30 Junior Orientation; report to homeroom
10:30 - 12:30 Sophomore Orientation; report to homeroom
(Freshmen do not report to campus on 9/4)

8:15 - 9:45 7th and 8th grade Orientation; report to Genesis Commons

10:15 - 12:15 6th Grade Orientation; report to Genesis Commons

* Cafeteria will NOT be open to purchase food
* No Private Bus Service
* All students must be in full uniform. If your uniform is backordered, or has not arrived yet, please wear a white polo shirt and khakis. 
Thursday, September 5
Please read carefully as different grade levels report to campus at different times. 

Freshmen: Report to campus at 8:30, report to homeroom. Dismissal will be at 2:30PM. Lunch will be provided. 

Genesis (all grades): Report to campus at 8:30, report to Genesis Commons. Dismissal at 12PM.

Friday, September 6
Please read carefully as not all grade levels are required to be in attendance each day, and times vary across grades.

Genesis - no school

  • Are there supply lists for High School grade levels?

    No. There are no supply lists for high school grade levels. Students will receive instruction upon their first day of classes when their teachers will give them each a syllabus outlining the course. 

    Students should bring their charged iPads, a notebook, and pens and pencils on the first day of school. 
  • When will I receive my iPad?

    6th, 9th, and transfer students will receive their iPad on their orientation day. 

    Students will be given a case and charger; they are welcome to purchase a keyboard and stylus for their new devices. 
  • Will I have a locker?

    All Genesis students will be assigned a locker. Students will need a combination lock for their lockers. 

    All returning high school students will retain their locker from last year. All new high school students will be given a new locker. Your locker and locker combination will be posted to your Harbor account by orientation day. There is no need to buy a lock, the locker has a built in lock. There will be time to go to your locker during your orientation sessions.
  • What are the uniform requirements?

    Uniform requirements can be found at the top of this page. 
  • Is the fitness center open to students?

    The fitness center is open to students daily from 2:30PM to 3:30PM. 
  • Where do I eat lunch?

    Students in all grades 6-12, will eat lunch in the cafeteria or in Alumni Hall on the 3rd floor. Students are free to choose which location they would prefer to eat. Lunch is available to purchase in the cafeteria, or they can bring their lunch from home. 
  • When will I get my metrocard?

    Students who are eligible for a metrocard (based upon their home address) will receive theirs in their homerooms during orientation week.
